Our instructors bring more than 35 years of nursing and emergency response experience to every class, and same-day certification is available for most courses. Brenda Shuler founded CPR First Aid Training Saves Lives in Wallingford, Connecticut, bringing more than 35 years of nursing and emergency response experience to every CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS certification course.


From Registration To Certification In One Day

Most of our courses run in a single session, so you can walk in without certification and leave the same day with one. Every class is taught by experienced instructors using hands-on practice with adult, child, and infant mannequins and real-world emergency scenarios. We offer open-enrollment classes at our Wallingford training center during the week, evenings, and weekends, and we bring full training setups on-site to businesses, schools, and facilities anywhere in Connecticut.

Same-Day Certified

Most of our courses run in a single session. You arrive, you train with real equipment and scenarios, and you leave with a nationally recognized certification the same day.

Red Cross & HSI

We hold both American Red Cross and Health & Safety Institute Training Center credentials, so every certification we issue is backed by nationally recognized standards and accepted statewide.

More Than 35 Years Behind Every Class

CPR First Aid Training Saves Lives was founded by Brenda Shuler, a licensed nurse since 1988 who began teaching CPR at the VA Medical Center in West Haven in 2002. What started as a commitment to emergency preparedness grew into an American Red Cross and HSI Training Center serving all of Connecticut. As a Black-owned, female-owned training center, we bring decades of real-world healthcare experience into every certification course we teach.
